Boulder Crest Retreat hosted representatives from Youth Adopt a Veteran (YAAV) this weekend. The initiative ensuring returning veterans have the “opportunity to succeed in their new mission - a life of passion, purpose and service - here at home.” This purpose directly aligns with YAAV’s mission. YAAV members Nilay, Shalika and Hasan took this great opportunity to donate funds collected through YAAV’s voluntary efforts. The purpose of the project is so magnanimous that any help it gets will not be enough.
Thanks to Alex Camacho, Boulder Crest Retreat representative, for hosting the students and giving us the tour of wellness center. With renewed enthusiasm, YAAV members went back home with an intent of doubling their veteran funds collection by the next year in 2016.
